President Akufo-Addo Promised To Set Up War College For Ghana Armed Forces.
Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of Ghana, has announced his intention to create a War College for the Ghana Armed Forces.
This move is aimed at enhancing the professional education of the military’s high command.
The President revealed this news during the 2022 end-of-year West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) celebrations, which were held on Wednesday at the Burma camp in Accra.
Ghana is on the brink of witnessing the establishment of a War College for its Armed Forces. President Nana Akufo-Addo made this announcement during the 2022 end-of-year West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) celebrations held at Burma camp in Accra on February 1, 2023. The college is aimed at providing professional education to the military high command and will be funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
The president emphasized the importance of this move in transforming the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) into a world-class military establishment and expressed his appreciation to the military for their sacrifices and commitment in protecting the nation.
However, not everyone shares the same sentiments. Some believe the government has failed in their efforts to address important issues such as food security and Galamsey. Others, on the other hand, are proud of the government’s initiatives and believe it will bring positive changes.
Regardless of differing opinions, President Akufo-Addo remains committed to ensuring that the War College becomes operational this year and to enhance the development of the Armed Forces.
