Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng, a member of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, may face a three-year prison sentence if convicted of the charges of possessing multiple identities.
This was stated by a private legal practitioner who used Section 41 (E) of the National Identity Register Act 2008 as evidence to support his claim.
The charges against Rev. Kusi-Boateng were brought forth by the North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who has accused the reverend of having multiple identities.

Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng, a member of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, faces a possible three-year imprisonment if found guilty of having multiple identities. This comes as a result of a recent investigation led by North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who has been exposing underhanded dealings in the construction of the National Cathedral project. The investigation has now shifted to the reverend and his multiple identities, including the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

According to a private legal practitioner, a person who deliberately uses different names and birthdates on various documents is liable for prosecution as per the laws of the country. The lawyer quoted Section 41 (E) of the National Identity Register Act 2008 to support his argument. The punishment for such an offense, according to the lawyer, is a fine of up to 450 penalty units or a prison sentence of up to three years, or both.

The National Identification Authority (NIA), which is responsible for maintaining the National Identity Register, has clarified that there is no name registered as Victor Kusi-Boateng with a birthdate of September 7, 1971. This statement supports the allegations against Rev. Kusi-Boateng and the possible punishment he faces if found guilty.
