Medikal and Stonebwoy are part of the few people in Ghana who really appreciate dancers for who they really are – Incredible Zigi

Multiple Award-winning Ghanaian choreographer and instructor, Michael Amofa, popularly known as Incredible Zigi has eulogized Ghanaian musicians, Stonebowy and Medikal for truly appreciating and recognizing dancers as key stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

Incredible Zigi in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 disclosed that Ghanaian dancers have found solace in the genuine appreciation shown by Medikal and Stonebwoy.

According to him, these artists go beyond simply booking dancers for shows; they value them for their true talents and contributions.

“In Ghana here I’ll say Stonebwoy and Medikal, they really appreciate dancers. I work with them more often. These are the few people who really appreciate dancers for who they are cos they make you feel like you are also doing something,” he pointed out.

Incredible Zigi further explained that working with Medikal and Stonebwoy goes beyond just being booked for performances especially, Stonebwoy who personally reached out to him during his African tour, assuring him that he recognized and appreciated his work.

“Because most of them know you can do it and just book you but these people see more than that. Somebody like Stonebwoy sees more than that, he texted me when I was on my African tour, and he was like ‘Yo, we dey see what you dey do, don’t think we no dey see, forget anybody who is trying to put a blind to what you are doing, you are doing the m most and I’ll love to work with you’,” he indicated.

Despite working on the “Everlasting” music video together it was after witnessing Zigi’s skills on tour, that made Stonebwoy express his desire to continue working with the dancer on a larger scale and all his projects.

“That’s how we started working full time with him and I’m always with him but before we had worked on ‘Everlasting video’ together but when he saw the tour then he reached out again,”

He also expressed his desire to work with internationally acclaimed dancer and R&B singer Chris Brown.

“I’m looking forward to working with Chris Brown really bad. He is a good dancer, and he appreciates dancers,” he disclosed.

Incredible Zigi has worked with musicians including Vic Mensa, Yemi Alade, Shatta Wale, and Davido but sadly missed the opportunity to work with Beyonce on her album after missing her DM.
