Lewandowski’s performance that season was legendary, as his 41 goals surpassed Gerd Muller’s previous Bundesliga season record of 40 goals.

In the 2020/21 season, Lewandowski achieved the feat once again in Bayern Munich’s final match against Augsburg, where they won 5-2.

Recently, Erling Haaland broke the previous record for most goals scored in a season in the Premier League, and the season is not over yet.
