Chelsea Football Club is currently in the process of finding a replacement for their former manager, Graham Potter. After just six months at the helm, Potter and the club parted ways, leaving the Blues on the hunt for a new head coach.

Initially, former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann was seen as the front-runner for the position. However, The Telegraph reports that the club is set to interview at least five candidates before making a final decision.

The owners of the club, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, have delegated the task of finding a new coach to the sporting directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley. The duo will be interviewing former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique, and Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti, as well as two other candidates.

It is worth noting that when Chelsea parted ways with their previous manager, Thomas Tuchel, they only interviewed two managers before settling on Potter. This time around, the club is taking a more deliberate approach and will be taking their time to find the right candidate, despite facing Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash next week.

The search for a new manager is a crucial decision for Chelsea, as they aim to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League and continue their success in the Champions League. With multiple high-profile candidates on the shortlist, the Blues will undoubtedly be taking a careful and considered approach to this decision.
