What is the deadline for submitting nursing training applications?
The deadline for purchasing Nursing and Midwifery Training College application vouchers is Wednesday, 5th July 2023. The application forms can be filled out online until Saturday, 30th July 2023 for the 2023 academic year.
When are the nursing training forms available for the 2023 academic year?
According to the Ministry of Health, the Nursing and Midwifery training application forms for the 2023 academic year will be available online from 24th April 2023 to 5th July 2023.
Can students with F9 apply for nursing training?
Nursing training schools do not accept Ordinary Passes or F9 in the required subjects. To be admitted into the Basic or General Nursing program, students must possess at least 5 credit passes in certain required subjects, with no more than two sittings. However, D7 to E8 are accepted for studying Community Health Nursing, which is a two-year certificate course.
What is Community Nursing Assistant (CHN) Course?
Community Nursing Assistants, also known as nursing aides or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), are the frontline medical staff who assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom. They measure vital signs, listen to patients’ health concerns, and transfer patients between beds and wheelchairs. They also visit patients at home to provide care and perform tasks such as immunization, weighing, and school health screening. CHNs may also dispense medication in community settings and are often the primary caregivers in nursing homes and residential care facilities.
